Abrasive transport systems

Holland Mineraal is the specialist in the design and manufacture, entirely in-house, of abrasive transport systems. The systems below have been used in blasting booths in a variety of market segments worldwide. For the recycling of blasting media, we have four options at our disposal:

SWEEP PIT

Here, the abrasive operating mix is swept into a specially constructed pit, which is equipped with a cover grid and a metering slide.

CONVEYOR BELT

This is where the collected abrasive mix enters the conveyor via special metering caps, which then transport it. Optionally, this system can be mounted over the full width of the cabin or not.

SCREW CONVEYOR

Using special metering caps, the abrasive operating mix is distributed into the collection chute and conveyed by the screw conveyor. The screw conveyor can be mounted over the entire width of the cabin or over part of the cabin floor.

SCRAPER CONVEYOR

In this system, there is a complete grid floor over the entire floor area of the blasting cabin. During the blasting process, the blasted abrasive falls through the grid floor and is directly transported by scraper conveyors to the cross scraper, which then discharges it into the elevator.
Regardless of the choice of system described above, the abrasive operating mix is discharged into the base of the elevator. The elevator is equipped with an elevator belt with elevator buckets attached, which transports the abrasive upwards. Through the elevator outlet, the abrasive is passed over a special drum sieve and then over the abrasive cleaner (cascade cleaner). This can be extracted by the main filter or a separate continuous cleaning cartridge filter. After this, the cleaned abrasive operating mix enters the storage bunker and is ready for reuse.
