Normal corundum is mainly used in blast cabinets and blast rooms. It is a premium quality new electrocorundum in iron-free form. Very pure and with an AL2O3 content of about 95%. The high percentage of Titanium (TiO2, approximately 2.9%) also provides extra toughness and therefore a long service life. Besides removing rust and mill scale, corundum is also very suitable as a pretreatment for the application of all common paint systems. Normal corundum is available from Holland Mineraal in various packaging quantities with grain sizes from 0.07 mm to 2.3 mm.
