Steel Shot is produced from a steel alloy with a low percentage of carbon, sulfur, phosphorus and chromium and is thermally treated using state-of-the-art methods. Its metallographic structure lies between Martensit, Bayleyit, Troostit and Sorbit. Its characteristic properties are: tough, high wear resistance and high tool life.
In shot blasting machines:
- blasting of steel sheets and steel profiles
- deburring and cleaning of castings
- cleaning and surface reinforcement (Shot Peening) of blade springs, bolts/nuts, couplings, etc.
In some cases, the operating mix is made up of both round and edged Steel Shot/Grit, depending on the required profile.
