Steel Grit is produced from a steel alloy with a low percentage of carbon, sulfur, phosphorus and chromium and is thermally treated using state-of-the-art methods. Its metallographic structure lies between Martensit, Bayleyit, Troostit and Sorbit. Its characteristic properties are: tough, high wear resistance and high tool life.
In shot blasting machines:
- for the removal of mill scale, rust, paint
- pretreatment for galvanizing, painting, enameling
- roughening of rollers
In blasting booths:
- In hardness GH (62-68 HRC) and in grain size, e.g. GH-40 and GH-50 ideally suited for the removal of mill scale, rust, paint and pretreatment for electroplating, metallizing, painting, powder coating and enameling.
